Volume times 0.4 gives you the ounces of oils to use. So 0.5" x 12" = 9.42. 9.42 x 0.4 = 3.77 ounces of oils needed. Rounding to 4 ounces. Using a 33% water as a percent of oils = 6 ounces of soap

Can this be used for resin casting?

I'm guessing it can be. There would be creases on the sides where the mold comes together.

What exactly do you do with this?

I use it for cold process soap. Use it as an embed in the soap....for a sun or full moon.

Would this product be appropriate for making food (gelled / congealed desserts, etc.)? Thanks.

Might be difficult if the food isn't thick. If the food was watery it probably wouldn't work
