I decided to try Amara Organics Aloe Vera gel because I suffer from acne and wanted to try using a natural, gentle product on my face. My acne flares up a lot when my skin is dry. I live in NYC, where the winters can be brutal on my skin, and acne products make my acne so much worse, because they dry out my skin even more. During the very humid summers, my face can get quite greasy, which causes my face to break out as well. Basically, my skin doesn't know how to regulate itself. "/ I've waited a few months to write this review, because I wanted to see the long term affects this product had on my skin. First, I would like to point out that Amara Organics sent me an email days after I made my order thanking me for my purchase while explaining what it can be used for and how if differs from aloe Vera gel you may buy at a drug store. They also attached an ebook with simple recipes I can use with my new aloe gel. I loved that they gave me ideas on how to use their product! As for the Aloe Vera gel: I've used natural aloe gel from the plant for years, which has a very gooey consistency and can leave my skin feeling sticky. The natural plant can be great for sunburns or a face mask, but after a few minutes I want to wash it off. Amara Organics has a very loose, almost watery consistency, which works perfectly for daily use. It didn't leave my face sticky, nor did I feel the need to wash it off. How it affected my skin: I applied the gel after I washed my face and before I applied my moisturizer. If my face feels a little dry that day I will either use less aloe or skip using it that day. During the winter months, when my acne is at its worst, I have to use this aloe gel sparingly, but I still feel that it helped my skin overall. My pores seem smaller, the texture is healthier, my acne marks don't seem to last as long. As the weather in NY becomes more humid, I love this product more and more. Usually, by midday I would have to wipe the grease off my face, but while using AO aloe gel, my face oils feel more balanced. I can use more gel and less moisturizer. I can't wait to use it after a day at the beach! Overall, I recommend this product. Not only is the product great and 100% natural, the company did a great job explaining all the different ways it can be used. I can't wait to try this on a sunburn!

I ordered the Amara Organics Aloe Vera gel because I needed it in an organic natural body butter recipe I was making, & it worked really well. Then I decided to try it as a natural facial moisturizer. I have mild psoriasis & it was beginning to appear on my cheeks. They were very red patches with tiny bumps & quite dry. Nothing I tried worked, not even the cream from the doctor. I didn't want to use commercial facial moisturizers any more & coconut oil wasn't helping. I decided to try using the Amara organic aloe gel instead. It doesn't have an odor or color & is very light to the touch. It felt wonderful & soothing on my face, but it wasn't enough moisturizer for my skin. (Note: Just before it's dry it will feel very sticky/tacky. Stop rubbing & give it a minute. It dries quickly & thats when the wonderful starts.) One day I had the idea to add one drop of Ameo's true lavender essential oil to the gel to see if it would enhance the moisturizing & calm the psoriasis, but I was worried the smell would be quite strong on my face. Well, I worried for nothing. After applying it, within minutes my face started to feel wonderfully soothed, & silky soft, & the oil smelled amazing! The combination of Ameo's essential oil & the Amara organic aloe gel is truly fantastic! It's now the only thing I will use on my face. After one week the bumps & dryness were gone & my cheeks now have a soft rosy glow, not angry red splotches. My friends noticed right away & said my skin was looking great. It feels so soft & silky that I keep petting my face. Silly I know, but it's true. This product will forever be a must have in my home. I use it as a light hand moisturizer, after I've toweled off after showering to feel silky soft, after being in the sun (even without a sunburn), or anytime I want a little soothing & moisturizing for any part of my skin. It's also awesome for insect bites! This is definitely one of the best all around, multiuse products on the market! Verpackung: Das Aloe Vera Gel kommt versiegelt in einer schlichten weißen Plastikflasche mit Kippverschluss. Wirkung: Ich habe letztes Jahr im Urlaub wieder eine sehr starke Sonnenallergie bekommen. Betroffen waren Dekolleté, Rücken, Bauch und Beine. Da gab mir meine Schwägerin ein Blatt einer Aloe Vera Pflanze, mit der ich die betroffenen Stellen eingerieben habe. Man konnte zusehen, wie die Allergie verschwand. Doch das Beste war, dass der Juckreiz sofort weg war. Dieses Jahr habe ich mich zu dem Kauf des Aloe Vera Gels entschlossen, da das einfacher in der Anwendung ist. Ich habe es nicht bereut. Sofort bei den ersten Anzeichen habe ich das Gel aufgetragen und die Sonnenallergie wurde sofort besser. Außerdem hatte ich mir im Bereich des Dekolletés einen Sonnenbrand geholt. Auch da wirkte das Aloe Vera Gel wunderbar kühlend. Es lässt sich super leicht auftragen, zieht schnell ein und hinterlässt keinen klebrigen Film und ist dabei sehr ergiebig. Mittlerweile habe ich es auch auf kleinen Wunden, im Gesicht und sogar bei meinen Katzen auf Wunden probiert. Ich kann das Gel nur empfehlen und werde es, wenn es leer ist, wieder kaufen. Inhaltsstoffe: Das Gel ist kaltgepresst und besteht zu 99,75 % aus kaltgepresster Aloe Vera und zu 0,25% aus Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Ascorbic Acid und Xantan. Das sind alles Stoffe die für Naturkosmetik zugelassen sind, auch das Potassium Sorbate. Das ist sogar als Konservierungsmittel für Lebensmittel zugelassen, entspricht den Kriterien des BDIH.
