SD Card Became Corrupted and the Camera Crashed.
I researched the internet for the best entry DSLR camera. The majority of the experts recommended this product. After using it, I have to agree..It is not the ultimate with all the "bells and whistles." For most non-professional users, this will accomplish 90% of all your photography needs. At an affordable price, the product is hard to beat. I was able to purchase mine for $210 via an Amazon third party seller. It was USED with 17 shots..-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.UPDATE: After two years of little usage, the camera went dead in a middle of a shoot. The screen went black. The viewer flashed BUSY. Nothing worked..So, I recharged the battery and played with the controls. The problems remained..With much money invested in lens, flashers, and other accessories, I had no choice. Buy a replacement T100 body on eBay..A few days later, I viewed some YOUTUBE videos on Canon camera issues and repair. One suggested cleaning the contacts with rubbing alcohol with Q tips. In the middle of the presentation, the narrator related an identical problem as mine. He solved it by reformatting the SD card. In response, I tried it, and the problem disappeared..Apparently, the SD card was corrupted. The software problem crashed the camera's computer system and rendered everything useless. Such an issue was never mentioned in the user manual..This undocumented problem cost me $176; for I purchased an unneeded camera body, which was not returnable. My only consolation was not going to a professional camera shop and request repair work. The standard diagnostic charge was $110 in Seattle.

It's the best beginner camera, period, for the price and the quality.
I cannot express this enough, if you are a beginner like I am, this is the camera for you, it might just look like a cheap no good camera, I thought the same as well, but when I thaught myself how to use it, it did wonders.
