Can you hang this box on the wall?

I bought it for my 10 year old Grandson. I don't have the box too really give you a 100% answer. BUT I really don't see why you couldn't. It does not come with a hanger on the back. However it is a wooden back so if you could glue a hanger it should work. My Grandson loves it for his Travel teams Championship rings.

Does the display part lay flat or is it slanted up a little?

It lays flat. The rings are visible when you look through the clear top. The rings fit in spaces securely so it might be possible to display the box on its side to see rings. Got for my grandsons birthday. I was pleased with quality and he was thrilled to have a place to keep his rings.
