Taylor Kitchen Egg Timer

This thermometer is very convenient to use and, being contactless, shouldn't require cleaning. I cannot judge the accuracy but the values it gives seem realistic. I had to use metal-cutting shears to release it from the packaging. Delivery was appalling: I received an email to say it was delivered and handed to the resident. It was neither delivered nor handed to the resident. The following day it was "delivered" - nowhere near my house, just left in the rain close to my road!

Its ok but not for sugar work i find

his thermometer works very well, it’s accurate in its readings and couldn’t be any easier to use. It’s handy.- If you’re getting this for kitchen use, please be aware that this is not a waterproof device but with it being a ‘non contact’ thermometer, t also comes with a fabric case for storage, but batteries are not supplied. Overall I believe it can be useful thing for its intended kitchen use or for general DIY,

This type of thermometer is super-handy for measuring temperature instantly and with no fuss. Just point it at the target, squeeze the trigger, and read the display. Hold is automatic, so the number remains on the display. The temperature is measured by an infrared beam. Use of the laser is optional, and when enabled, shines a visible dot on the surface you are pointing it, the idea being to show exactly where you are measuring. This unit has a distance to spot ratio of 6:1 which means that if you are 12cm away from the target, for example, it will measure the spot with a radius of 2cm where you are pointing. The primary purpose of this thermometer is for cooking. How hot is your pizza oven? How hot is the fat in your fryer? This will tell you immediately and safely, without any mess, since it is non-contact. The downside is that it only measures external temperature, so you will still need a meat thermometer if you want to know what is happening inside your joint. It could be handy elsewhere too, for example in plumbing or electronics. Is the Taylor a good one to get though? It depends how much you pay of course, but there are a few things to consider. The distance to spot ratio is not that good; it is easy to find units with 10:1 or 12:1, some of which are cheaper at current prices. The max temperature on this one is 400° C or 752° F; fine for me but again, it is easy to find others which measure higher temperatures. What you care most about is accuracy of course; I’m not able to verify this but the claim is about +/- 1°C or +/- 1.5% at temperatures above 65° C. I greatly disliked the blister packaging which is hard to open and once cut, with sharp edges that can cut you. I also dislike the lack of instructions and the fact that batteries (2 x AAA) are not included. Battery life appears to be about 16 hrs. I am basing these figures on specifications for the Taylor 9523 which looks identical, though the actual unit reviewed is sold by Kitchencraft as the Taylor Pro Digital Non-Contact Thermometer. On the plus side, there is a 5 year warranty which is decent.

This great little thermometer is designed to be used with food, rather than with family. Simply point at the cooked food and press the trigger and you get the temperature. A simply press changes between Celsius and Fahrenheit. The product needs 2 x AAA batteries, which are easy to fit. As you can imagine the whole household is now very bored with me walking around measuring temperatures and shouting out the answers - whether the item is straight out the oven or simply from the fridge I know longer have to guess, I can get the right answer straight away. In this day of high standards of kitchen hygiene and health, it is essential to check that food is hot enough to have been cooked through, and this is certainly the way to do that. Working by laser light, this is both reliable and fast, so that we get the right figure straight away. This is simply a really good product at a price that I wouldn't have believed a decade ago. Excellent value!

I ordered this digital thermometer for my cellar, it is important to control the temperature of the must when the grapes are fermenting. It works very well, quickly indicating the temperature of the exact location where we are aiming. If we want precision, just connect a laser pointer that marks the exact place where we want to measure the temperature. And it allows you to select the measurement in degrees Celsius or Farheneit. It works with 2 AA batteries and measures temperatures between -45 ° C to 400 ° C. Very useful also in the kitchen. Highly recommended.

The trouble with halogen hobs is that you can't tell when they are still hot - and testing them with your hands could leave you scarred. While this may seem a solution to a problem you don't have, it could just save ypour palms. Easy and effective.

The Taylor Pro Digital Infrared Kitchen Thermometer seems to be a product in need of a use in the kitchen. Most times I have needed to check the temperature of something in the kitchen, I have needed to check the internal temperature inside the food, not on the top. It is also not waterproof, which to me would be an essential for a kitchen environment, which is normally fairly damp. Outside the limited use inside the kitchen, this is an excellent contactless thermometer, just on the more expensive side. The thermometer itself comes in a plastic blister pack, requiring scissors to open. These days, there really is no excuse for this type of packaging - a box would have been more than good enough. Another thing against the thermometer is that it doesn't come with any batteries, so you need 2 AAA batteries as well. To keep the thermometer safe when not in use, you get a small fabric pouch. In use, the thermometer is quick and accurate, as long as you appreciate that from a distance, the detection area can be quite large (in the region of a 2 inch circle from a distance of 1 ft). To aid pinpointing the right area, the thermometer also comes with red laser dot but you can turn this off if required. Overall, a good thermometer, but it does feel like it is being marketed to the wrong people.

Non proprio precisa, sbaglia delle volte di 1 o 2 gradi. Una volta tarato è perfetto

A bannir pour la cuisine. Je déconseille. J’ai l’eau qui boue et il m’anonce 74 degrés
