Perfect for postpartum/pregnancy exercises
The yoga mat has the perfect balance between comfort and support. I am doing daily postpartum Yoga, and my old mat is too soft, which makes it hard to balance. I have been using the new mat for a week. I wish I got this mat while I was pregnant when I spent a ton of time on the Yoga mat. I did have to air the mat out for 2 days before the natural rubber smell subsides. As soon as it did, the mat smells quite nicely with a subtle hint of expresso. I am very sensitive to smell, and this is a big win for me. I used my old TPE mat for over 5 years, and it still has a strong chemical smell till this day. The natural materials used in the Cork Collective mat would have been a lot better for long term use. During pregnancy, I was even more sensitive to chemical smell. As the rubber mat is about 4mm thin, it took me a couple of times to get used to it. My knee feels the ground more when I first use it. But it got better overtime. The thinner mat provides better balance when standing on one foot. Postpartum exercises focus more on the lower body and pelvic floor strength. The better control and balance is essential, as the core muscles are recovering. When I was pregnant, I also use the yoga ball a lot. With the thinner mat, it would have been a lot easier to add the ball on top and kneel on the mat with arms lying on the ball. It was the best way for me to stretch the upper back with the gigantic pregnant belly. My favorite part is the texture on the surface. It is genius to mix coffee grounds with cork. I love the aesthetics of the natural pattern. Most importantly, the coffee grounds part has a more granular texture that is also more slip resistant as a result. Happy with the purchase. This will be my go-to mat.

Great alternative to a regular yoga mat!
Got this cork yoga mat a week ago, so far I am pretty happy with it. Here are a few thoughts if you are considering buying it. Pros: 1. The mat came packaged nicely and is very lightweight, which is good for me since sometimes I have to carry it to the park to practice. I really like the color and texture of the cork as I can see the growth rings of the tree, which look very nice and makes me feel very connected to nature. 2. I used the mat for close to a week on my wooden floor. The mat is definitely non-slip and has very good grip on the cork side, which is very important because I have slipped many times in the past using PVC mats. I normally sweat a lot during my practice, and surprisingly the sweat makes the grip even stronger. I think it is due to the texture of the cork. The cork material used in this mat appears to be a higher quality material compared to other cork mats that I previously used. The cork mats I used before look like the same material as those in cup coasters, and they started cracking after a week of use whereas this one seems more durable. Finally, the thickness of this mat provides a lot of cushion for your knees. It is great for doing yoga/workouts on hard surfaces, whether it’s indoor or outdoor. I’ve used it once for my gym’s outdoor classes and so far it feels good. Cons: 1. Before the initial use, something heavy needs to be placed on the mat to flatten it out though it’s not a huge issue. 2. The mat needed to be aired out when I first unpackaged it because of the smell of the new cork. After placing it in my garage for a few hours, the smell from the mat dissipated. Final thoughts: if you are looking for an eco-friendly, non-slip, lightweight, durable yoga mat, this is a great choice.

Love Hot Yoga But You Sweat Buckets? This Mat is for You!
Arrived very well packaged. Rolled out flat straight from the box. Zero odor! I haven't used it yet, but it feels like a very high-quality mat. The mat is heavier than my other mats. But not too heavy to use and carry around. Update ~ used it in a hot yoga and zero issues even though my hands and feet get extremely sweaty. I’m shocked I do not see more of these mats in class.

Great mat, although “thick” is a questionable
Very pretty and I love the grip of the cork on my bare feet. I am impressed with how well it works in a yoga mat! This is maybe a little bit thinner than a cheap traditional yoga mat, so if you need cushioning on a hard floor this isn’t it. It has a strong curl memory. I have had books on one end of it for a week and it hasn’t flattened. I think I may need to reverse curl it or warm it some with a blow drying to get it to lay flat.

One of the most aesthetic and functional yoga mat I bought’
Perfect Blend of Function and Design! I recently got this Coffee Yoga Mat and it's amazing. The grip is top-notch; it sticks to the floor without sliding around, no matter the move. I even took it to a few hot yoga classes, and to my surprise, it performed incredibly well in the humid conditions, keeping its grip without any slip. That was a real game-changer for me. The design is unique too, made with recycled coffee grounds and cork, which is both eco-friendly and looks great. What's really special is the subtle coffee scent. Doing yoga with this gentle aroma makes the whole experience even more relaxing. The thickness is just right too, not too hard or soft, so it's comfy for my knees and hands. The only downside is it's a bit heavier than my previous mats, but that's a small price to pay for the quality and sustainable materials used. All in all, I'm really happy with this mat and would recommend it to anyone. aroma makes the whole experience even more relaxing. Soft and supportive natural materials!
I purchased this may because I wanted something more natural and higher quality than my old foam mat. I'll update once I've had it longer but so far I'm very happy with my purchase. First impressions right out of the box: Well packaged; minimal odor detectable only if I put my nose to it; lays nearly completely flat with slight curl to either end; the cork is really soft, yet grippy on my hands; the extra length is nice for floor poses; the rubber seems durable and is denser than my old mat which gave little support; and finally, the cork pattern is really beautiful and calming too look at.
