I can't even begin to say how thankful I am for PS For Dogs. I adopted an amazing little Chi-mix named Pete 2 years ago from a rescue. He's always had some skin issues, and in the past year they became dramatically worse due to his sensitivities. I've always gotten him the "fancy" , "organic" , "grain free" ,etc... type foods -- heck he probably eats nicer food than i do most of the time! :P ... Even tried a couple different dehydrated foods that said they had ZERO preservatives in them.... ALL WITH THE SAME RESULTS = nothing got better! And sometimes his skin got worse. After eating food... the skin around his mouth , face and neck would become inflammed, red, flakey, bumpy little sores and oily. This would sometimes spread to the skin under his arms and belly too. Over the past year with it getting worse, he started loosing tons of hair around his head, neck and ears. It's been really sad and stressful as a mum to try so many different things with no success. I've spent way too much $$$ on many visits to different vets, getting tests done ,etc...All for them to tell me absolutely nothing useful.. One time a vet prescribed Royal Canine hypoallergenic food... and that brand seemed to help a LITTLE but his skin reactions were still very much present, and he gained a ton of weight on that food. Still desperate for a solution I was searching the internet and came across PS For Dogs. At this point, I figured WHY NOT. I ordered it and within A MATTER OF DAYS HIS SKIN STARTED CLEARING UP!! AND HIS HAIR GROWING BACK!! I couldn't believe it. ---In addition to the noticeable difference it's given his appearance.. he has so much more energy during the day now. For the first time in 2 years he's looking like a completely healthy, energetic little dog. It's really incredible. I don't know EXACTLY what makes this food different than the many others I've tried... But thank you so much for saving my Dog's health and quality of life....and for saving my sanity :)

My large Standard Poodle ( 90 lbs. ) will not eat commercial dog food. I cook various fresh proteins with brown rice and vegetables. But I keep trying to find a purchase that he will eat so I don't have to always cook. I end up with him snubbing all and I give it away. But....he actually loves this product ! I told him that it was a treat ( loves the healthy ones I purchase ) and he sniffed the pieces I gave him and willingly gobbled them down ! He also has Idiopathic Epilepsy and Eviromental Allergies so I make certain he's eating products that might help his conditions. This is healthy food and he actually likes it !! Price is high , but it is high quality.

I have a 13 y/o Aussie/Husky and she loves this food. She was constantly licking her paws and developed esophageal regurg, kept smacking her lips at night keeping me awake. Blood work showed chronic pancreatitis. The nausea medicine was like $10.00 a pill and every day dosage was out of the question. Dr. recommended special diet food which contained caramel coloring and corn, so after researching I chose this product for its ingredients and I add Merick Lamb Limited due to cost. Hope this helps someone else not knowing what that "lip smacking" might be about, it took me a year and Xrays and lab work and after 3 different vets saw her, finally got a diagnosis. Update: After 5 months of trying to switch back to a limited diet food my Aussie/Husky is on this Ps food full time. I added organic brown rice and organic chicken for the nausea and sprinkle this on top about a 1/4 cup. Finally after all this time, my dog is now sleeping at night and has stopped vomiting and licking her paws and "smacking" her lips and gagging. This is going to save money on drug treatment and our health from sleep deprivation. My dog was miserable constantly with hot spots for so long and finally this is resolved . I hope we can keep her a few more years now.

The only reason it got 4 stars is for its tiny bag size and its price tag. My Yorkie loves this. I have been feeding him this for about 2 months and there is no change in his itchiness.

February 18, Update on previous review. Just received another bag of the Lamb PS for Dogs and the pieces are all tiny(some crumb-like). I emailed the owner, Mike at PS for Dogs earlier this week and have not received a response. I guess I'm left with the inconvenient process of returning the item. This is my second order of PS For Dogs. Even though my Japanese Chin don't have food sensitivities I initially tried this product as they are so picky about the food they eat (as am I). I was shocked when my 5 Chin devoured this food and thus the need to reorder. I usually cook for my fur babies but there are days when time is an issue. I'm so happy to have finally found a QUALITY food that my Chin actually look forward to. The air-dried, jerky-style shape and soft consistency make my pack feel like they are getting treats rather than eating a nutritious dinner. I can't say enough about Mike, the owner and developer of PS for Dogs. His customer service and videos are so informational with a truly personal touch (very rare these days). Thank you, Mike, for developing this tasty and nutritious PS For Dogs. .

The dog loved the taste. When I bought the first bag for the outrageous price of over $100,00, I thought it was helping so I ordered 2 more bags. I'm sorry to say there hasn't been any improvement in her skin, which is apparently a yeast infection.,

Great food but extremely pricy for the size of bag. Will not purchase again. Even for my 15 pound dog bag doesn't go very far. For a month I would need two and half bags over $200.
