Adorable for everyone
I just received my cat today. The cat is adorable, cannot fault it. I got a radiator cat bed to place it on while I’m not using it. Hopefully the heat from the radiator won’t hurt it. I will take it to bed with me at night to cuddle with. I got the robot cat as I can’t have a cat really as vet bills are crippling, also we feed birds and ducks bring their babies into our garden that we offer food to, so cannot risk a real kitty just in case we get one that’s a hunter, also I can’t bear the upset and anxiety if the cat gets ill or worse :( As soon as I got the cat out of the box I couldn’t resist combing her with the included brush, the cat is really responsive, washing her paw, meowing, leaning back to expose her tummy and blinking and slightly turning her head. Her robotic sounds are no noisier than any other robot I’ve got. I thought after reading some reviews that I’d have to put her on mute but I don’t find her noisy and haven’t used the mute button. I do love real cats and I will miss snuggles and head butts but this robotic companion is nice and I do find it comforting. The purrs are really nice, you can feel them as well as hear them. I wouldn’t hesitate to get another one.

Great companion
This year has been really tough, long stay in hospital and left with long covid and other health issues and sadly had to give my 2 cats up for adoption, after having them for many years wasa hard decision to make and left me feeling lonely apart from my carer, then I found this and spent time thinking do I or don't I buy, well I did and he arrived a week ago and I feel like he's the best buy, I've found I'm not feeling so lonely now and his little meows, purrs and interaction with me is so good, his purr is realistic the fur is soft and his chuffed, sighs and meows are realistic and have made him a valuable part of my daily life and I'd miss him a lot. I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants a companion cat and can't have the real thing now. Edited: I've had him 5 weeks now and still the original batteries he came which is brilliant going considering all he does.

Nice cat but needs a longer life
My elderly mum has had Tibbs now for nearly two years. My daughter and I bought this tuxedo cat as she was the image of the real version many years ago. Mum loves her but I was dismayed to find the mechanism stopped working after about 18 months. Tibbs no longer leans back for a tummy rub and doesn’t lift her paw up to her mouth for licking which was an adorable feature. The correct batteries have been every time so all I can assume is that these robot cats have a very short life span. However, she still meows and purrs and my mother doesn’t seem to have noticed that the cat doesn’t do anything else anymore. I have marked it down because of short-lived mechanics, considering the price.

Lovely. It does lots more than 4 things and feels like a natural cat!
We love this. Okay, it's not as well made as some other expensive soft toys/collector bears, for example, which we have in our house - but that's not what it is! It's a robotic cat, with lovely responses and sounds. It's battery operated too: so that's amazing. You don't have to plug it in! And the price is good. I don't think its uses are limited to a companion pet for the elderly: I think it serves a younger audience, out working all day, who want a cat but can't have one because they're out all day. This fulfils the need for a cat when they come home! It has lovely faux fur and beautiful positioning of the cat's body. It's solid and not like a soft toy. It feels just like a real cat. One reviewer says it does 4 things. That's not true. We got it today and it has done 6 already...maybe more. It purrs, it closes its eyes, it meows, it rolls back, it scratches its face and it does a sweet wake up sigh. It also goes quiet when you leave it, then wakes up again. We will be leaving it on at all times: not muted, either. We love it. Great company too. Big, big love - and many thanks for such an astonishing achievement. Just updating too...having had it for a few days now. It goes to sleep. Doesn't disturb you at all until you want it to be like a real cat seeking fussing. Seems to say a meow like 'hello' when it wakes up again. Gorgeous. Worth every penny.

Amazing companion for those living with dementia
If you’re not sure if this is worth the money or whether it will go down well, just know that we bought one for my mum just after she moved into a dementia care home (she was missing our family cat, who had sat on her lap for many hours providing comfort & company). Instantly, every single resident fell in love with Belle, and other residents families have since bought other (different coloured!) cats. There is something just very comforting and engaging about these little robotic animals. Whilst the residents understand the cats aren’t real, nevertheless they mimic the size, softness and movements of a seated/reclined cat quite closely, and Belle is always provoking comments and engagement from the residents. She can be set to mew & purr, or just to move but remain silent.

I didn't think mum would accept it, but she did!
We purchased this black & white robotic cat for my mother in law. She was recently widowed, followed quickly by a dementia & Lewy bodies diagnosis, she's 89. She had to go to the hospital, leaving her beloved real cat behind, so this cat seemed a good idea for the month she spent in the hospital. I wasn't sure it would be welcomed, like other reviewers mentioned, I thought it would only serve to remind her of her past real cat, however, it worked a treat. She never puts the cat down and it calmed some of her aggressive behaviour in the hospital. Unfortunately she does try to feed it her food and that can make the cat grubby, we have managed to clean it with a damp cloth, but a more washable fabric is worth thinking about for the manufacturer. We bought an extra small knitted dog coat for the faux cat, in order to prolong its cleanliness! It's been 2 months now since she last saw her real cat, as now she's in a care home, but she still isn't missing the real cat! Her faux cat is popular in her home and often goes missing, not a problem since the home is secure! She talks to the cat, laughs at its movements and its an odd mix of her knowing its faux, yet treating it like it's real. The cat is constantly turned fully on and the batteries last approx' 3 weeks. The hospital turned it to mute, maybe its meows were annoying someone! She can't always hear the meows, as she's very hard of hearing, shame there's no volume up control. She is rough with the cat and hardly grooms it, so much to my surprise it has endured the harsh treatment! The cat comes with a brush, but she lost hers in the hospital, we bought a round tipped replacement from a cheap shop. The meow sounds a tad high pitched and sounds like a woman making the noise, but it doesn't take anything away from mums pleasure. Some family members nearly choked when we told them what we had spent and bought, but now they say 'it's the best thing she's ever had'! Her real cat went to her grand daughters in case anyone was concerned!! I recommend this faux cat.

Noisy
Really expensive for what it is. Loud mechanical noise and not nearly enough padding. Feels like this cat needed feeding. Returned.

Beautiful companion
I’m disabled Housebound when my partner is at work sometimes bed bound so I spend a lot of time on my own and we can’t have a real pet I bought this companion cat on a bit of a whim He arrived yesterday I fell in love with him as soon as he was out of the box he’s beautiful His purred is unbelievable relaxing I could sit and stroke him all day he’s incredibly soft with realistic fur He meows like he’s talking to me pretty close to how a real cat would He moves making him more realistic especially when he opens and shuts his eyes He’s been on my bed with me all day I haven’t stopped stroking him and talking to him He does have a mechanical sound when he move’s but you get used to it really fast He’s making a huge difference to my well-being I would definitely recommend
