I've had no problems with this line. Although I haven't tested it, this 6lb must be much stronger than that, and diameter is almost hair-thick.

I have used several different types of braided line, and this one is the best. Other brands have weak spots where the line will randomly break at under extreme pressure. This line is consistently strong to the point that it will usually not break under extreme pressure, but when it does it will either break at the knot (which makes sense since knots weaken the line), or at the reel where the line is bent over (again weakening it at that point). The only problem I have had with it is that when you first load the line onto the reel and run it through your fingers the dye will stain your fingers at that point. It comes off easy enough though so it's not really a negative from my perspective.

I have spooled two reels so far with this line, and there is still enough for at least one more reel. Now I just have to use the pole/reels to catch some Walleye !!

I spooled a couple of reels last year with KastKing Super Power braid and loved it, and came across this when I was about to stock up for this season. I use 15lb braid on most of my spinning reels as well as on baitcasters and this new Bastion braid is excellent so far.I've spooled 2 spinning reels and 2 baitcasters so far and taken them out for a bit of dry land testing in my field (our ponds are still iced over). The braid is thin, strong and supple and spooled beautifully. I've noticed that when I use braid that I found "just OK" I could feel a certain amount of inconsistency when spooling and didn't experience any of that with the Bastion. I didn't apply a micrometer like some reviewers, nor did I bench test the breaking strength but in some informal testing I'm impressed.Last point- I've noticed even with supposedly higher-end braid that sometimes there's dye transfer to my hands when working with the line, and that's usually indicative that the color of the line fades faster. With the Bastion there's no dye transfer so I'm optimistic that this line will be color-fast. Can't wait to get it wet!

It’s nice, casts smoothly

If you have been into fishing for awhile you would have noticed that braid is very useful and convenient in many applications for saltwater and freshwater fishing. It’s is very strong when you pull on it. It’s very light so you cast easily. The diameter is small enough to add much heavier weighted line to smaller reels. You will have to learn to tie new braid knots because of the thinness and slipperiness of the line. There was one thing though I found very surprising and slightly disappointing. That was the abrasion resistance. It’s so ridiculously fragile that i after losing several lures and rigs that I took it off my reel. I fish around rocks and other structures and when the line rubbed on the rocks it snapped immediately. Hey s cookEd piece of spaghetti and cut it with a knife and that’s how effort you will need to cut this line. I went back to flourocarbon.
