They are a little smaller than many/most other handles (20% smaller). That works fine for my application (lightweight and packable), but it might not be the best option for larger displacement motors that have more resistance when cranking the motor over, or for folks with large hands. Can't comment on durability, since I haven't had a chance to use them over an extended time. The plastic material used doesn't seem too brittle. It was easy to insert the relatively thin diameter cocking rope through the holes provided. Might be more difficult if the pull-start cord is larger than 1/4".
