description says sticks to boat gunwale. Packaging flyer says don't put in direct sunlight. Anybody used this on gunwale for 3 years plus?

This is by far the best scale I have bought. Been in the sun for three + years. Still clear and bright.

It is a decal but I guess you could fold it. We attached it to a small pvc pipe and store it on the side of our boat.

Is this up to date with the most recent FWC regulations for 2016?

Yes this covers the 2016 FWC regulations.
