Samsung CFG70 24 inch Curved Gaming monitor
Had this for over two months now Pros: - Great Color. My old IPS looks dull in comparison. - Great Contrast. 3000:1 is about as good as you can get currently. - 144 hz. Motion will looks smoother than a 60hz monitor. - Freesync reduces sceen tearing (for those with amd cards). - Flicker-free and low blue light modes. - Adjustable stand. - Easy to adjust settings. - Response time can be lowered to 1ms. - Better viewing angles then a TN. - Reasonably priced. - 24 inches! Cons: - Lowering the response time makes the backlight flicker (which can cause eye strain and headaches) . - Can't adjust brightness with fast/faster response time and eye save mode. - Overshoot is noticeable in some situations. - Stand is a bit wobbly. - A few unnecessary features. - Can't adjust response time while free sync is enabled. You have to set the response time first. - Upscaling isn't great? - Was shipped in a much larger box that had no padding, allowing the product box to shift all over the place. This is great gaming monitor, especially for games with bright colors. The curvature is noticeable even though it is just 24', and it is great for 3D first or third person games. Dark games will look nice too thanks to the contrast. It has low response time so it would could be used for competitive games. But you don't have to use it just for gaming- with the response time on standard you can use it for watching videos or movies, which will look fantastic as well. What this monitor isn't great for is games with grayish and dull colors; this is where the overshoot will be an issue. When the camera moves or when you look around, things will get a purplish hue temporarily. Also If you plan on playing games with the fastest response time for hours a day, you should probably look for a truly flicker-free monitor. Videos and movies will look great on this, but if you think you will be watching things with other people on the monitor you should buy something larger (or at least not curved). While you can use this monitor for work, photoshop or video creation, the curve is unnecessary. You can still use it for those purposes, but it will take some time to get used to the curve. If your mouse is going to be on the same surface as your monitor, you might have problems with the monitor wobbling- but it does have vesa mounts if you want to use another stand. Lastly, I've had problems using this monitor with an old laptop that doesn't support 1080p. If I plug in the monitor before the laptop boots, it does not display. If I plug it in after it boots it will display, but it doesn't use the full screen and there is a black border around the edges. Other times it will use the full screen, but text will look off. My IPS was the same size and resolution as this monitor and it never had any of these issues. The monitor has some problems, but they aren't that big of an issue to me. It is currently one of the only 144hz 24 inch VA monitors on the market (and the cheapest), as well as one of the few monitors currently with quantum dot- so I give it 5 stars. If anyone is curious, the bezel is about 10mm on the side.

No compromises 144 hz monitor. Buy it and set the Black Equalizer to max. UPDATE: Product died after 9 months.
This monitor is absolutely amazing. It boggles my mind that it isn't often recommended or on the radar for most people in the 144 hz monitor market. The other monitors in this price range are TN panels which are utter garbage. I haven't tried the more expensive varieties however coming from the popular ASUS VG248QE this monitor is vastly superior in every single way. Color accuracy is very good and the colors are rich and vivid. At first I was disappointed with the quality of the colors until I set the "Black Equalizer" setting from the default 13 to the max 20. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. Blacks are way blacker and the colors show up better as a result. Another minor tweak is to set the response time of the monitor from Standard to Fastest. I'm not sure why the two aforementioned settings were not default from the factory. The monitor has 3 buttons which enable you to save presets to your liking. I could see this being useful for those who are very particular about their monitor settings. For my purposes it is a nice, albeit useless feature. The toggle switch on the back has a good tactile feel however it is a little tiresome to constantly give your monitor a reach around every time you want to change the settings. The viewing angles are phenomenal. You can literally be across the room in any direction and still view the monitor. The stand is clunky and large however it works well. My desk is fairly wobbly so I used to have to prop my speakers against the side to avoid wobble however this stand is sturdy enough to avoid that nonsense. If you're looking for a relatively inexpensive 144hz monitor and do not want to compromise your day to day viewing experience this is the monitor for you. UPDATE: I can no longer recommend this product. After 9 months of use the monitor has died. Vertical bars show up on boot and sometimes the monitor won't power on at all. Samsung provides a 2 year warranty on this product but frankly this shouldn't happen at all. I've included a picture for everyone's reference. I now have to wait for them to repair and send it back. This experience is awful.

My first 144hz monitor. No regrets with this purchase. Looks amazing. I love the adjustable arm on it. Would highly recommend for gamers all around.

Lovely product! Even mounts on VESA stand and headphone jack will work great with external speakers too! Loved the pivot function so I can turn the entire screen into portrait mode. Great for reading those long texts! FreeSync looks amazing! Quantum Dot is so vibrant! The stand it ships with is also very nice. Spring loaded so it's very easy to move around. Very happy with this product!

So this monitor is really awesome, really... truly awesome. Except for the corners of the screen being VERY blue shifted, and Samsung really doesn't seem to care, contacted their CS and they just brushed it off so... I guess I gotta live with it. It's not horrid and it's not nearly as pronounced if you put the brightness up, but this monitor is BLINDINGLY bright past 25! At 50 the blue isn't as bad, and 100 the blue is there on white but not really other colours. I really wish Samsung would have ANY customer support, they literally have none... all their CS is handled through Newegg/Amazon exchanges, it's terrible. It's not NEARLY as bad as ASUS' support who outright SCAM YOU, but it's not great. I really wish Samsung would be willing to give me an advanced replacement and exchange the two so I could be sure that the replacement would be good... but Samsung doesn't really have a customer support service what-so-ever. So that's frustrating. I hear most people don't have this issue, if this monitor didn't have this issue it would be perfect, great at gaming, low input lag... Freesync is a dream! But I have the blue shift :(
