?IMPORTANT? to use these straps with door hooks,your car must have a rigid ridge or lip, about 1/2" high and 1/2" wide,sticking downward from the upper section of the door frame and running front to back. If the car doesn't have this ridge, use instead the Pass-Through Straps that came with the carrier, which work on any car without a rack..

FEATURES • Fasten RoofBag carrier to door frame, if car has a ½” solid ridge inside door frame. • Adds an optional fastening method if Pass-Through straps interfere with driver's head. • Four side-release buckles provide easy access to carrier's contents. • Water-repellent straps avoid water wicking inside the car. USE IMPORTANT: To use these straps with door hooks, your car must have a rigid ridge or lip, about 1/2" high and 1/2" wide, sticking downward from the upper section of the door frame and running front to back. This ridge may be covered with a removable rubber seal or plastic molding (see detail pictures above). If the car doesn't have this ridge, use instead the Pass-Through Straps that came with the carrier, which work on any car without a rack. Once installed and the doors are closed, the Door Hooks must pass two tests: 1- The hooks must not be visible from the outside of the car. 2- The hooks must remain attached to the door frame ridge. If the hooks don't pass these two tests, the car probably does not have the proper ridge and we don't recommend using these straps. They may not hold the carrier securely. Use instead the Pass-Through Straps that came with the carrier, which work on any car without a rack.
