Perfect replacement for 1992 MIM Jazz Basss
The tuning machines on my 1992 Fender (Mexican) Jazz Bass were slipping. I tried using glue but that didn’t work. I got these replacements last night and they were perfect! I did not have to drill any new holes and I used the existing bushings even though these came with two sets of replacement bushings (two sizes). My 1st photo shows a new machine on the left of the headstock and existing on the right. The new ones look nearly identical except for the missing “Licensed by Schaller” stamp. One big improvement is how these are keyed. They have a more square shape (2nd photo) versus the octagonal key (3rd photo) in my original tuners which wore out and caused the slipping problem in the first place. I’m very happy with these!

Work great on MIM fretless neck
There have been other comments about the bushings being too small, but my Highway One tuners included two set of bushings - one slightly larger than the other. I ended up installing the larger diameter bushings by using a small reaming tool on the holes in my MIM fretless replacement neck to get a perfect fit. Installed, they seem very solid. The gear ratio works well, and allows for granular-enough adjustment in tuning. After a small application of grease, these are also incredibly smooth. Aesthetics aside, there is no difference in quality to the covered Fender USA tuners on my other basses. If this tuner set had only included the smaller set of bushings, I would have been disappointed. However, Fender appears to have heard the complaints and responded appropriately.

Fit Squier 40th
These fit my Squier 40th anniversary P-bass perfect. No drilling needed. I even called Fender and asked what would fit that bass and they didn’t know, so I am glad I gave these a try.

Almost good but missing pieces.
Great tuners except they came missing 1 of the 4 bushings I needed for my bass. This set comes with 2 sizes of bushings and it had all 4 of the smaller set in the bag. Was refunded roughly $12 which is almost enough to cover buying the bushings outright. Could of replaced the tuners but it would take way longer than just paying for the set of bushings and losing about $1 on the deal.

Good quality tuners.
These are excellent replacement tuners - much better than some of the cheaper reproductions. The gearing is accurate and tight and the mounting holes line up exactly with those of the original worn-out tuners so swapping them was quick and easy.

Smooth traditional tuners
These tuning machines are unbelievable for the price. The fit and finish is excellent, the chrome is heavy, and they turn smoothly. There is no backlash at all, so tuning is highly accurate. I do recommend a thin coat of light grease on the worm gear, to keep them turning smoothly. Bushings are knurled to help them clutch the bores on the post holes. Fit was perfect when drilled to the recommend diameter. I used them to finish a Kmise blank neck that was shaped to mirror a Jazz bass. The completed neck assembly was used to upgrade a Glarry GJazz bass. I could not be more delighted with the results. I highly recommend these.

Nice Tuners for The price
These did work with my Squier Jaguar Special short scale bass using the stock inserts but only 3 holes just lined up so I had to drill one hole for each tuner and the original hole that did not line up is hidden.

Bought these for a Squier that I upgraded so much that I couldn't leave the floppy/loose tuners on it, I had to upgrade those as well. I knew beforehand that they were NOT a direct fit for Squier. Squier isn't listed for the models these are used on. You well need to drill some holes bigger and make new screw holes. As for the 1-star rating someone gave, you can't give a 1-star because something not design for Squier doesn't fit a Squier, plus they're not supposed to be branded with the Fender logo, they are legit Fender tuners though. I attached a photo of what I got (after 1 day for shipping). Tuners are set in a cardboard sleeve (not in photo) in a bag. Comes with the tuners, 2 sizes of bushings, screws, and a couple of free guitar picks.
