What a wonderful thriller! Cornwell has such an engaging and enjoyable writing-style! Full of suspense, 'Portmortem' thrilled me from beginning to end. Having read their reviews, I have noticed that people criticize the plot of the story yet in my opinion their disappointment is unreasonable. This thriller is not so much about who is the killer of these murders, but rather who is the person messing with the evidence in order to discredit Scarpetta, the protoganist of the story. If readers would have focused on this secondary storyline instead, they would soon have realized that Cornwell has written an amazing thriller!

本格的な推理小説だと思います。犯人は最後まで分からないし、意外な事実が最後に出てきます。　専門用語のことはさておいても、文章がストレートでないので、英文としてはちょっと難しいと思いました。個人的には主人公が犯人を撃ち殺す結末の方が好きです。
