Neat mold for making Oreshek cookie shells.
This was an impulse buy - I had made Kolaczki type cookies (square of dough, fruit filling, fold one corner to another and cook), cookies my Czechoslovakian grandmother used to make. I gave some to a friend who's wife is Ukrainian - they enjoyed the cookies and asked if I ever had Oreshek type cookies, I said I had not but the concept intrigued me so I ordered this mold. The mold works well, though there was a learning curve to get the right amount of dough in the mold (my first attempts squeezed a lot out and it caught fire on the electric burner) - electric burner... while I made this work on the electric stove top, it was not ideal, you have to prop up the handle to make sure it is level and the heat is uniform. A gas stove would be better. It is fairly non stick, and I was able to clean out the mold with water and paper towel. The quality is good and I suspect it will last the rest of my lifetime (these are seasonal cookies and quite labor intensive, so I am not making them every day).

Great quality, made in Ukraine, cookies taste just like in childhood 💛
Very happy with this purchase. Got pleasantly surprised that the pan was made in Ukraine. After a couple trial runs have to admit that the key is definitely to stick to the recipe provided with the pan precisely! After trying to tweak it, I gave up, used the said recipe and got perfect results. Made balls using exactly 1/2tsp of dough = 4.5-5g each. Cooked for 2mins on one side and 1.5mins on the other using setting 4 out of 10 on the gas stove. The full recipe yielded roughly 170 halves = 85 walnuts in my case and required 2 cans of dulce de leche / cooked condensed milk to assemble. It took me roughly 3 hours from start to finish. I am pretty sure that the blank residue will be there only if you don’t wash the pan well enough. It was definitely there before the wash (which is normal for this kind of material), but hasn’t reappeared after. Also, aluminum marks very easily in production, so some surface scratches on a new pan are to be expected. They don’t affect the quality or performance of the item, and it’s very funny to see other comments about them 🙃

Good
It works. Lol. Pros: very easy to use and quick baking. Cons: you have to find the perfect size of the dough balls for this. Keep an eye on it- cookies can get too dark too fast It comes with a recipe and instructions. I followed both and here are my two cents. I think it’s best to preheat the waffle makes before greasing for a minute or two on Med low heat, if you grease it before, like the instructions say, the oil will start to burn. I liked the recipe. Easy and no fuss, tasty, so I would recommend you try it too, and make sure you make the right size pieces ready to go. It took me a few tries to get them right. Instructions say a teaspoon.... no, don’t even try. I made them 9g, Too much. They became one big weird waffle. I then started Making them 4-5 g - still not happy. Too much excess dough and butter, burning, 2-3 g are not big enough to cover the surface area. 3-4 are perfect. The shells are pretty small in this waffle maker so find a perfect size of dough for you but I liked this mold a lot. Now , to cooking: they cook damn fast so I kept it on low gas so I had time to prepare the dough. After the first thirty seconds you don’t have to hold the handles together and can take a peek if they are gold on the outside and flip, to have them golden on the other side. You only need to grease the mold once, in the very beginning, they slide right off of the mold and the dough is high in fat so that won’t be a problem. And yeah, keep wiping the excess butter leaking from the waffle maker - it’s normal but it will smell and burn if you don’t

No good!!!!
The design is poorly thought out; the dough squeezes out forcefully at the seam, leaving the nut-shaped cookies too thin and prone to breaking. I didn't like it. It’s poor quality—all the dough leaks out and burns in the oven.

Easy
Wish they were a little bigger. These are more "mini" then average size. But very convenient and fast to use. Keeper!

Perfect Mold!
This oreshki mold is a must-have if you love making traditional walnut-shaped cookies! It’s well-made, durable, and heats evenly, so the cookies come out perfectly shaped and golden every time. The size of the molds is just right—not too small, and not overly large—making them great for filling with caramel, dulce de leche, or your favorite cream. It does take a little practice to get the amount of dough just right, but once you do, it’s smooth sailing. Cleanup is also easy, which is a bonus after a big baking session.

Good
Is hard to imposibile to clean the burned oil/butter drippings of the back of the mold. I do not care to scrub it but the inside has no problems. I grease the pan for the first use and the dough is easy to be removed with a toothpick if it gets stuck inside

Smaller but still seems like a good size
I read the reviews before I ordered and I did notice this was referenced to as a very small mold. I compared the sizes to other sellers (more evpensive) and they all had the same dimensions so I ordered anyway. It came very fast - before it was estimated to be in stock. It came today and it is definitely very small comparing to the standard size. That might not be too bad, the cookies will just be smaller. Considering I usually make a variety of desserts, I consider this a positive. You can eat more or other desserts too. Can't wait to try it. Do know, however, if you are looking for typical oreshki or orzeszki size, this is not it. These are about half the size. Another thing is, it looks like the inside has some debris. At first I thought it was mold, but that is not it. After wing with a paper towel I would say its more like ashes. Not sure if that is a part of the manufacturing where ashes are accumulated, but I would think this would be cleaned before packed up an sold. Not an appealing look, but an easy clean.

These worked perfectly!
I have a ceramic stove top, so I couldn't cook the cookies over the stove because the dough leaked on the stove top, cause it to burn on my stovetop, so I put them in a 375 degree regular oven and it cooked in 12 minutes, however, after a few batches, you have to lower the heat to about 360 (depending on your oven) because the molds become very hot causing the cookies to bake faster, and they may dry them out or slightly overbake them. For the handles, I covered them tightly with aluminum foil and they stayed cool to the touch and the handles didn't burn. This is a good mold! At first when you use them, you need to wash them very well with diswashing soap and soft cloth because there is metal residue, you need to dry them well and re-wash the mold a second time, then with the first and second uses, you need to use oil spray in each nut mold. Hope this helps.

Tolles Produkt
Funktioniert sehr gut. Das Rezept in der Anleitung ist aber für viel mehr gedacht als angegeben. Wir haben mehr als das doppelte aus den Teig rausbekommen.

As advertised
Works as advertised, and the provided recipe work as long as you follow it. I made a bigger batch of the dough and froze some for later and still got amazing cookies when I used the thawed dough. The product is sturdy and dough doesn’t stick if you prep as per the instructions. Handle also didn’t get hot or burnt
