Effective in the event of fire alarm
I bought this product after suffering with days of dizziness, ringing in my ears and headache after just short exposure to the fire alarm in my apartment. But before you think I'm a coward, you should know that I've been to Nascar without ear protection and had fewer problems than i had with my fire alarm. It is literally the loudest thing i ever heard and it made me physically sick. My dad even made the crude joke that he would rather burn than be tormented with the noise. And yes I did evacuate the building, however it took a few extra minutes because I have pets that I also have to save. It has only ever been test alarms so far, but I made the decision that it is vital to protect my ears from permanent damage during these tests. I keep these earphones next to my bed, along with earplugs, to be worn in the event of a fire drill whilst I am securing my animals to be evacuated. At this point, with the excruciatingly loud alarm (and you don't think about the dangers of loud noise until in the moment when youre exposed to it), I can honestly say I'm more concerned with ear damage than with fire; my main reason for leaving the building has now become to protect my ears. And this is not meant to be humorous, I'm being serious. Earmuffs like these are a must in the event you are exposed to loud sound; overly loud sound can cause tinnitus, dizziness, and permanent hearing loss. I can only imagine what it is like for those with small children and babies. These muffs were super effective...I tested them while watching TV on high volume and none of the noise came through. I feel safe knowing these are within arms reach to protect myself.

Great value for the money
When I'm listening to my book at the gym, the piped in music is so loud that I can't hear the book while I'm exercising. I don't want to increase the volume as I already wear hearing aids and don't want to continue to blast my eardrums with loud noise. I was in a delimma as to what to do: buy $400 bluetooth head phones or buy something that can fit over my hearing aids so I don't have to increase the volume. I'm so glad I purchased these noise cancelling headphones for autism for $19 as they work perfectly. They're black, which looks like any other headphones, and they immediately block out the outside noise when I put them on. The instructions say not to put them over glasses, but I find they work fine over my glasses. They fit very snugly and I have to make adjustments for that, but it's been easy to adjust so far. They don't slip and they allow me to keep my volume at a normal level. I would definitely buy again.

Good enough for Monster Truck rally
Got these for my kids since we were going to Hot Wheels Monster truck show. My kids didn't complain once about the noise. They did take them off at one moment to see how loud it actually was and they quickly put them back on. We were five rows from the front and they were not affected by the noise. Definitely worth the money. It fit my smaller child and older one. My oldest said they were comfortable but does not like the design.

Special Needs?
I bought these only to help my son with special needs who has trouble in some lough situations. He absolutely loves them from how comfy they are to how well they protect his ears. I tried them myself to see how they worked and I was surprised how well they worked. Great value for decent price and they are easy for him to use.

Perfect for sensitive ears and comfy!
Very happy with these! After my Mama fell and hit her head a few years ago, she’s been sensitive to loud noises. We adopted a dog and his bark is ear piercing even for anyone let alone my poor Mama. So the fact we finally found a good comfy pair of earmuffs that block out loud noises including our dogs screeching barks it’s already helping her not be affected by the noise! Highly recommend

Almost there, and probably worth the trip.
These phones provide clear and consistent audio. The "Transparent" mode works, but can be a little tinny and unpleasant. It also picks up fan noise. But in a quiet environment you won't miss the things going on around you. The "Cancellation" mode works pretty well, allowing my wife and I to do two different things in the same space. (A marriage saver) The headset has large and soft ear muffs that fit well over my ears. I wear them for several hours a day, but not straight through. Rarely longer than an hour and a half a sitting. Occasional venting keeps them comfortable. The sound is clear, but it lacks pizzaz. The ultra-lows are only "kinda" there, and getting too much volume* is a bit like getting a speeding ticket going uphill in a 1960 Volkswagen beetle. It don't happen. *Even us old guys like to head-bang once in a while.) However, at this price point for common-ordinary listening, I'm quite pleased.
