M-61 ProSmooth Retinol Night Cream OOOHH - this cream has the best form of vitamin c available! Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate is a stable, oil-soluble form of vitamin c which is proven to be absorbed better. While it is also packed with a lot of top-tier skincare ingredients, it is really gentle on the skin. This white cream is more of a lotion and feels wonderfully hydrating as well as helping to immediately brighten the skin - ok there is mica in this which reflects and makes your skin appear better. Still, I love how this feels. I have been using vitamin c and retinol for years so this didn't cause any issues with my sensitive skin. If you have never used these ingredients, you need to start out with once or twice a week and then add a day as you can tolerate it. This comes in a pretty silver plastic container with a vacuum pump that dispenses the proper amount each time. It has no scent and contains 1.5 ounces. It is a nice all-in-one cream. The box is safety sealed and this is made in the USA. M-61 ProSmooth Retinol Antioxidant Night Cream has 0.7% retinol, plus it has Vitamins C and E. The 0.7% retinol is a potent amount but this hasn’t irritated my mature (55+), dry and sensitive skin. I have light skin but have read dark skin shouldn’t go over .5%, so I’d suggest that those with dark skin look into that more. I’ve been taking it slow as directed and only used this cream 1 night a week for the first 2 weeks and went to 2 nights a week this last week. M-61 has a pleasing creamy consistency and moisturizes well without feeling heavy or greasy. I do use a good hydrating serum before it and apply a gentle, non fragrant face oil after (as needed) to boost hydration. I don’t use this cream or any retinol products during the day due to the risk of mixing retinol with sun, and I always apply sunscreen during the day even though I’m using this cream at night. This is a white cream without added fragrance, but it has a slight smell that reminds me of oil that’s a little “off.” Soybean oil is the main ingredient and may be what I smell, but I can’t say for sure. The cream texture seems fresh, so I don’t think it’s gone bad and the smell fades quickly. Notably, soybean oil is great for the skin with natural antioxidants and fatty acids that are smoothing and also soothe the skin. I like that this cream pairs so many antioxidants with the retinol. The container has a good pump dispenser, and I don’t need much cream to moisturize well. Because I’ve only used the cream 4 times in 3 weeks, I can’t yet assess benefits other than it makes my skin smooth and hydrated. It’s yet well tolerated so far and appears to be a good anti aging formula that should provide more benefits over time. Like it a lot so far. 4.5 stars. Made in USA. M-61 is a decent retinol cream, similar to the SkinMedica retinol product that I have been using for years. The product I received was not authentic. The pump was nonfunctional, and there is a tiny hole drilled in the bottom of the container, a telltale sign that someone has been refilling used bottles with who knows what? I used a paintbrush to dip into the bottle and was able to extract a white cream that was rancid and nothing like any retinol I have ever used (and I have used many). Note that the real M-61 retinol is vegan and unscented. There is no way I am putting this cream on my face or anywhere but in the trash, and I will be notifying M-61 so they can have these fake products removed.

This M-61 ProSmooth Retinol Night Cream is a night cream with 0.7% retinol and vitamin C. Retinol and vitamin C are basically the only two ingredients that really work for me. This cream is fairly lightweight and easy to apply, also moisturizing enough as a night cream. Overall this is a nice product but make sure you check the item you receive thoroughly. I received an unsealed and used one at first so I had to requested for a replacement.
