I've always had a little bit of an obsession with torches and so I've had a great many of them over the years. This one is without doubt the best I've ever used. When it's on full power it is as bright as a car headlight. I've taken some photos on a trail that follows an old railway line and is totally pitch black at night, these photos were taken with my phone and have not been enhanced in any way. All three photos were taken standing in the same position, the only difference is the zoom and you can see on the last photo that it has illuminated a railway bridge 100 meters away. The fourth photo is to give you an idea of the size and weight, I bought one of this type of torch before and was shocked when it arrived by how big and heavy it was but this is lighter than my smart phone. + Amazingly bright. + Lasts for 6 hours on full brightness, but it does become noticeably dimmer after 4. + Charges in a few hours. + A long press on the button turns it off and then another press turns it back on again without having to cycle through the five functions. + Small enough and light enough to carry in an anorak pocket. It is extremely bright and compact. I really like the zoom feature. Instead of turned the head of the torch you simply move it forward or backward. There are several different modes including bright, medium, low, strobe and SOS. The method of switching between modes is also really cool. It has a memory function so unlike my previous torches required me to cycle through each of the modes they offered which was annoying. This torch is also rechargeable via a micro USB cord which is also provided. I prefer this way of charging since I have so much USB ports throughout my house. You just have to open the rubber cover on the bottom of the torch and it plugs directly in. The torch is about 5 inches long and is light and seems to be well built. I look forward to using this on camping trips as well as everyday use. Definitely recommend if you need a quality torch that is very bright and has several convenient features.

A brilliant little torch with a very powerful beam. Adjustable zoom from light up the whole room to focusing on a small area at max power. It has a switch which basically cycles thru different brightness's from max brightness to lower then lowest brightness, then strobe and finally SOS. To turn off from the initial full power mode, just hold the off button for 2 seconds (as others have noted) Otherwise you have to keep pressing the power switch to get thru all the different modes. I love the fact that it is rechargeable! Lithium Ion battery installed (permanent not removable) and can charge from any 5v USB socket such as on a PC. (Lead provided) Starts off with a red light (at back by power button) and when charged, turns blue. Only tiny criticism is the orange power button needs a good strong push to operate. Otherwise, a fantastic and highly recommended torch which is well made and in a very robust metal case. Water resistant too, but not for immersion under water. I decided that for Christmas I wanted (another) torch and a rechargeable one this time. I had been impressed with my little Wilkos rechargeable one, especially its battery life and performance on a camping trip, the torch being a previous Christmas present. And now, for this Christmas just gone (2019) I decided to my wife's dismay, that I wanted another torch but with a bit more oomph! I must confess at this point to have rather a lot of torches or all sizes, descriptions, makes and supposed purposes. A NEBO Little Larry had disappointed due to it being bright but more of an inspection light than torch. I wanted something small but powerful and well made. There are no end of torches fitting this bill on Amazon as well from makes I have never heard of from various factories in China as well as well-known and horrendously expensive ones by established brands. Having decided that I wanted one for less than £20 I set about trawling the reviews and features. Unfortunately, the rise of pseudo reviews and paid for ones makes this an ever more pointless task and Amazon should get to grips with this before all consumer confidence is lost. Having done my best with the above process I settled on the INFRAY and it arrived in good time in okay-ish packaging ready charged. I will admit that it has not had an awful lot of use but two months later it still holds that charge :) Pluses: size - pocket sized weight - incredibly light built quality - seems good brightness - lights up a small room options - various levels of brightness, plus strobe - apparently a long hold of the on button to turn off will mean it returns to that mode when switched on speed of delivery - didn't notice so must have been ok battery life - not had to charge yet Minuses: having the on/off button on the rear makes it prone to being turned on when stored and is not as good, in my opinion, to having it along the torch handle Other: Can't comment yet on charging time as haven't had to charge it having an option for batteries as well would have been versatile but would have added weight so... Overall I am very pleased with this torch, which now sits at the top of my somewhat OTT torch collection. I am looking forward to using it camping or on trips through canal tunnels or wherever or any excuse to retrieve it from a drawer and shine it at something!

This torch is amazing. I've not had a torch with a Cree LED before and it really surprised me how much light it throws out. There's a huge, bright, wide circle which can be focused down to a spot. I'm visiting cave temples in India soon and this will really fit the bill. The USB charging is really handy. The torch is solidly built and looks as if it will last well. I've not had it long enough to see how long a charge lasts. It's all operated by the single button: a long press turns it off and leaves it ready to come back to the last-used mode when you switch back on. The charging LED changes colour when the battery is fully charged. It's a lot cheaper than some of the American makes but seems just as good. Get one and have fun!

This is an awesome little torch. Small enough to fit in your pocket but powerful enough to clearly light up an area 100 metres away. I use it to track my dog around a 6 acre field and it does the job easily. It has an internal battery so you just plug the cord into the base of the torch, no fiddling around removing batteries to charge them. Has an indicator light on the base to tell you when it is fully charged, red whilst charging blue when full. Has various modes which are changed by repeatedly pressing the on off button but frankly I just use it on the first mode which is full power. This can be altered from a long view light to a wide light by pulling back the top cap. You can turn it off with one long press on the button to avoid cycling through all the options. What more can you want from a torch

I rarely leave reviews for products that I buy, but am so impressed with this torch that I felt I had to recommend it. I originally bought one of these for my son for Christmas, and was so impressed that I have now bought one for myself! I have a few bright LED torches that use 3 AA batteries, but this is my 1st rechargeable torch. It is smaller than my other torches, but much brighter - the lowest setting on this one being brighter than the high setting on the others. It comes with a neat wrist strap, and looks and feels very well made. It is well designed, where you can set a brightness level/function by repeatedly pressing the button to the relevant setting, then by using a long press turn it off, so that when you turn it back on it is on the setting that you previously set. All my other torches you have to cycle round all the settings every time. It is very neat with the micro USB socket to charge the torch being behind a rubber flap. The light quality appears to be better than all my other torches too, no flickering or dark patches, which I assume is due to a better quality LED unit. I highly recommend this torch.

Since buying myself one of these torches about 12 months ago I have been that impressed by the quality that I have bought another 3 as gifts for various people. It's brilliant that they are rechargable and by a standard mini usb charger, the battery lasts ages and it's great that it has multiple lighting options for brightness etc. It has the ability to remember which setting you last used so it can come back on to that rather than cycling through them all. It's a very bright torch when on full with a good sized beam that can also be focused to pinpoint accuracy, when focused I can easily light up points +50m away. It's also small enough to fit in a pocket or handbag and very sturdy but not overly heavy. I definitely recommend.
