Great little heaters for the price
These are pretty cool setups I was purchasing this one to replace another one come to find out it wasn't the heater that was bad it was a restriction in my waterline to the heater now that I fixed that it works very well it keeps pretty good track of a consistent temperature it does fluctuate a little bit probably 3 or four degrees of variation you can feel it but it's not extreme it works off of a couple of D cell batteries so there's no wiring and the settings are fairly easy to set comes with pretty much zero instructions but it is very easy and labeled well for all I would say this is a pretty damn cool setup mine is installed on my 2010 camper and works very well but my camper also is stationary I'm not sure exactly how you would go about putting it into a regular camper for travel because of the way that the chimney works and the fact that it needs to be mounted vertical but overall it's awesome we have two teenage girls that have to take 45 minute hot showers every morning so it works very well for that also thought since I have an extra one of these of setting it up to fill my hot tub with hot water because at home I have a standard hot water heater and it runs out after 50 gallons and I need 300 plus I haven't set it up to do that yet but I think that's going to be what I'm doing with the old one that didn't have anything wrong with it that I replaced the old one was three years old and worked well just the water flow would cause it to turn off and on and off and on because I had inadequate flow

Good while it worked
I enjoyed the water heater while it was functioning. It took a while to dial in the controls(which were labeled backwards), but once everything was set, it ran well and consistently. I ran the unit conservatively and it was surprisingly efficient.During the last week that the unit was functioning it began to turn on and off intermittently during use. Finally the unit ceased to turn on at all. I replaced the batteries, tested the propane tank separate from the unit(functioned as normal), and did basic troubleshooting of the unit itself with no success. The unit was supplied with 60psi, potable city/county tap water. I live in Hawaii and the unit never went through any weather extremes. I'm typically happy to repair all my own things without pestering the manufacturer but under these circumstances I didn't want to void a potential warranty because the unit didn't look easily serviceable. I suspect the unit has a water flow sensor that failed. I've had it for less than a year and only installed it about 6 months ago. In that time I used about 30 pounds of propane before the unit failed.I can't seem to find anyway to contact the seller/manufacturer about warranty. If the seller contacts me to help resolve the failed unit I will adjust my review accordingly. As it stands I will only rate it 1-star as the unit should have lasted for more than 6 months, and 30 pounds of propane, use.

Needs clearer instructions but works well.
Ordered and the first delivery was obviously a return item, no knobs, missing hardware and damaged case. Second was delivered good. Instructions lack detail and still have not heard from manufacturer support but I figured it out on my own. Amazon support tried to help but the information they were supplied with was lacking as well.

Works OK, great price.
I mount this outside my travel trailer to replace broken expensive 6gallon water heater. It works well most of the time. Sometimes it doesn't ignite or turns off during operation. Temperature control must be set at unit, if cold water is added at shower it turns unit off and water gets cold. With that said, the temperature controls are really touchy and you can't get 70-80 degree water on a warm day it is like 90+ or a cold shower. Works great in colder weather. Overall I am happy with this unit, it makes hot water and uses little propane. For $110.00 it is a great appliance, would buy again. I have been using this for about 10 months now and it still works like the day I bought it. Hopefully it makes it through the winter. These units usually break from water freezing inside drained or not. So install drain valves and hope for the best.

AMAZING HOT SHOWERS - EASIER TO INSTALL THAN I ANTICIPATED
First off, I purchased this for my home, not for camping. We have had several underground gas leaks in recent years and the community's gas is turned off for days while we wait for new pipe to be installed. I went a full year before we had a chance to use this little marvel. I used our shower 1/2" MIPT with a 3/4"MGHT x 1/2" FIPT adapter ( Home Depot ). Then installed 6'-0" of garden hose with a 3/4" FGHT x 1/2" MIPT adapter to connect to the unit. The water outlet to the shower and the gas inlet are very easy to hook into and secure. The unit uses (2) D batteries for the ignition and LED screen. When the unit detects incoming water pressure, it auto-ignites. Shutting off the shower head or turning off the water will shut off the igniter and stop the unit.Admit-tingly, I was a bit concerned about using the unit due to the need for propane. But it has proven safe and reliable. There was an initial small gas smell when the unit was first ignited which lasted all of a second. I triple checked all connections after that and the next several times the unit was activated there was no gas smell. I suspect it's just something that happens quickly once the unit is first used for the first time. Easily a 10/10 and a life saver. You never know what you have until it's gone and a hot shower is one of life's few luxuries, especially during emergencies. There is but one negative I should mention. The back on the unit has some VERY, VERY sharp screws and metal bits sticking out. Without gloves on you will prick your fingers and bleed. Please make sure you are aware of this when handling the unit and keep children away from touching the back of it.

Great for our cabin!
We use this in a small cabin we rent out. It was super easy to install. Water gets very hot. The price is great compared to most tankless water heaters. Highly recommend!
