They are reasonable value for money and nice and light but do not get as dark as we thought they would. They are very slow to respond and adjust to light changes like normal photochromatic lenses. They suit my wife, but not dark enough in bright sunshine for me and for driving. To me, they are more a fashion statement than a useful set of sunglasses to cut the glare of intense sunlight. My Polaroids are just exactly what I need and will stick with them.

Been looking for some glasses to drive in that cut out the glare of headlights and sun and these seem perfect. They have a green upper part and the lower half is yellow. They have seemed so much better than others I have purchased at blocking out the glare. They are very comfortable to wear too. Not tried them in the sun yet so can’t say about the colour change of them yet.

I travel in and out of a darkened warehouse when unloading trucks on a forklift and finding THE right color lens for bright light and semi night conditions back and forth has been almost impossible . I did find a shade of green in Oakleys that worked well (laser toric green ) that sadly was discontinued and once mine got scratched up enough to become a distraction the search was back on again. This pair of glasses has been very close to the sweet spot because of the gradient lens. The top gets darker than the bottom and when lightened the tint is yellow and not clear . This helps in both dark and bright conditions , especially since they lighten back up in about a minute. Darkening takes about thrice that but the top being darker helps it not be such a shock to my eyes when I go back outside . I have a normal width nose and find the bridge a tiny bit snug and uncomfortable but nothing to cause me to look elsewhere . The height of the lens is nice , about right for a semi fat face like mine and the width doesn't let a whole lot of side light get in unfiltered but also doesn't hinder my peripheral vision . I usually wear them about an hour at a time at most so I can't say what 8 straight would feel like though probably not forget I'm wearing them comfortable . Time will tell how well these hold up but for my uses I hope they last a while or at least stay available to buy more of .
