Bought the Pyramid Trek 50 insect repellent for a trip to Thailand and it worked really well. With 50% DEET it’s strong, but it did exactly what I needed it to do and kept the bites away, even in the evenings and more humid areas. It was easy to apply, lasted for hours and gave me peace of mind while travelling. The bottle is a good size for packing and didn’t leak in my bag either. If you’re heading somewhere with lots of mosquitoes and want something reliable, this is definitely worth taking

Having just been over to Cuba for several weeks, I was determined to not get bitten!!! I have read about the possible Dengue fever out break in the far East regions of Cuba and we were travelling near to there, so i wanted something that works. Myself and my wife are prone to bites - plus I was also reading about the Sand Flies in parts of Varadero where we finished our tour. So, in the first few days during the day we were fine, in the evening after a few hours of Rain (bang on 4pm every day for 2 hours - hurricane season) the Mozzies are out - so after showering and after-sunning ourselves, we applied the 55 Deet repellent. I can say in the first 4 days, we had no bites - on the places we used the spray. I did suffer 2 bites on my upper thigh - now it says to not use the spray underneath clothing and I was wearing long trousers, linen. Still, I applied a small amount around the ankle area - a prone place for being bitten for me. It seemed to work - the upper thigh I did not apply too and it could have been in the evening whilst sleeping that I was bitten here. The rest of the first half of the holiday, we used the 55 and the 100 Deet depending on where we were staying and again, no bites. The second half of out holiday was just chilling out at the Sandals Resort in Varadero. The first day we went to the beech - #amazeballs - the water is so clear and the sand is white. We were in and out of the sea and on the sun loungers all day - we then discovered a few bites, only on our arms. We worked out that laying face down on a lounger with your arms hanging over the edge whilst you read was a great way to get bitten!!! The following day, at the beech, we done 2 things - 1: We didn't lay face down with our arms hanging over the sides, and 2: we used the 55 Deet. ALL GOOD - no more bites, woop woop. We did still receive the most random odd bite during the course of eh night and always in the places where we didn't apply the spray!!! All in all, I think we had about 12 bites between the 2 of us over 3 weeks - im not ashamed to say that was the most bite free holiday we have had!!! The product is great, worked for us - please bear in mind - if you use the 100 Deet this is alot lot stronger, i used some on my neck one night, not knowing i was a bit sun-burnt and it did sting for a long time until I had to wash it off and use the 55 instead - which was fine (I think the 100 Deet had killed all the nerve endings by this time anyway) Great products in my opinion, if your sensitive in nature to things on yr skin stick with the 55, if your going somewhere where you need to NOT GET BITTEN - use this stuff, and go for the 100 would be my advice. It really works.

I had mixed results It was effective for some parts of the day, but during early mornings and early evenings, it didn’t seem to stop the mosquitoes getting at me. But it does have some effect, so I’ll not totally dismiss it. It’s better than nothing.

No bites at all. Would recommend.

Best insect repellent on the market

Wasn’t perfect but I do think the number of bites I had reduced when wearing this brand of spray (purchased elsewhere). So I’d give it a 7/10. One of the bottles I ordered from Amazon was leaking on arrival (even though the lid was tight) and made a mess so I had to refund the order.

Forget the rest and buy the best - literally, this product beats anything else I have bought including some very expensive brands. I used to get eaten alive on holiday and at home but not any more. Just keep away from clothes and let it dry a little before dressing, you wont be bitten again anywhere you put it. Very pleased and I'll keep buying it.
