how accurate (%) is the humidity reading?

Humidity is accurate, i would say +-5% but after just maybe 2 weeks of hanging on wall dials on temp. become loose and ist very fiddly to reset To be honest do not buy...

How big is it? It looks beautiful, but I don't see the diameter written anywhere!

Diameter is just under 100mm (4inches) and depth/thickness is about 40mm (1.5inches) including the knurled adjustment knobs on the front.

CAN THE UNIT BE MOUNTED FOR OUTDOOR USE?

Hi Stewart, I'm not overly impressed with this product as I find the min and max needles stiff and awkward to reset. As to your question.... I have mine mounted under my car port as not confident of it being water proof. Doesn't appear to be that accurate either but that may be due to it's frost protected position underneath the car port. Product instructions didn't seem to suggest that it's rain proof and has open slots in outer casing.
