My basement flooded after a heavy rain, the water couldn't drain out, and backed up, reaching 1.5 feet high above the ground. It's expected to rain for another 2 days. The sump pump in our basement is 1/2 hp, and it took 4 hours for the water to subside a little. So I decided to use the 1.5 hp pump I bought. I was planning to give it to my sister for her birthday, since she has a swimming pool in her backyard, but now I am using it myself. This sump pump is amazing. It pumped water out in an hour, and the water kept backing up, slowing during the rain. Then we switched between 1/2 hp and 1.5 hp until someone came to route out the underground drainage pipes. Now I keep this great 1.5hp sump pump as a gift to myself. And my sister says she will buy one on Amazon's Prime Day in October for herself.

This submergible sump pump works well and is easy to install. It turns on quickly and pumps water out efficiently. The build feels solid and it runs quietly. Great value for the price and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Would recommend for everyone who needs a pump.

I purchased the pump in Nov. and it stopped working in Feb. Updating my review. Reached out to the company and they provided good support for getting the unit working.

Less than 4 months old and it tripped the GFCI outlet. Plugged it in to a non-GFCI outlet and it worked a couple of times then no longer pumps. It might run for 30-60 seconds once a week, so is obviously defective. Came to amazon to find out any warranty or support information and received this message: “ Return and product support windows have closed Ordered on September 16, 2025 ”

It’s okay. Needs a few feet of water to work. Wish I had purchased a diff one. Know nothing of pumps & most likely purchased the wrong one for what I was looking for.

This Green Expert 1.5HP Submersible Sump Pump appeared to be a well-built and great pump. So I odered it, and it was delivered within a week. I was very excited and anxious to use it to drain some of the water out of my in-ground pool. But to my surprise and very disappointed, when I opened the box, I found a USED pump. It was dirty and rusty. I contacted Amazon customer service and they were going to send me a replacement pump. I hope they don't send me another used one. The ONE star rating is for sending me a USED pump. Updating my review( Review on a New pump) I received my replacement pump today (It's a brand new pump, YEAH!). It comes with everything you need to drain or pump water. It is a small pump, but it works like a champ. It's a very quiet and a very powerful pump. It is very easy to use. Just attach the adapters and hose to the pump, drop it down to the bottom of the pool, plug the power cord to the outlet, and have fun with it. I love it and would buy it again and would highly recommend this pump.

This pump drained my 13.500 gallon pool in just under 3 1/2 hours. 5 foot at the deep end so it was a 5 foot rise in elevation. It really did the job. The feet do sit high, so there was some water left over when the pump shut itself off. I finish off the job with my small pump/garden hose which gets down to about a half inch of water left over.

Green Expert makes some great pumps, I have used many in the past... i love everything about this pump, EXCEPT the following.... instructions, could be better, too much conflicting info, pls proofread! the auto start stop is IMO problematic for some of my uses.... it requires too much water for it to turn on, and leaves too much water when it turns off... its just the design of the pump....for some applications not a huge deal, but other times, u are left trying to get the rest of the water out..... but, the actual levels are confusing in the manual vs. real world.... but, its our job to get the right pump for the job, and this is not a low water pump.... build quality and pump works well, although dont expect to pump far as it states, 10ft of head, which has to be wrong.... still giving 4 stars, as for this price, its a well made pump

Pump has failed after running only 3 months. Pump trips the GFI circuit despite no obstruction of the impeller. Unable to contact seller. Past Amazon return window.

This pump is very powerful. But after installed 2 weeks and only run for total 10 hours, the pump stop running. It looks like water got inside and shorted the electrical line.
