After one year using the filter, our espresso machine is free of scale
I use this to treat the water for my E-61 espresso machine. The water here in southern Arizona is super hard and tastes terrible out of the tap. The BWT filter treats for taste and softens the water. Without softening, the boilers in the espresso machine would clog with scale (mineral deposits). After using the BWT filter system for about 14 months, the espresso machine shows no signs of scale build up.
