We had a 42โ x 96โ door to cover a bathroom entry from bedroom. The door was 1 3/8โ thick and made for a challenging job to route the recesses for the track and wheels. It also was a hollow core door with some relief details. The tolerances were very tight and did cause a void where the relief was too close to the routing. Once installed and adjusted it rolls great and quietly and the soft close manage to work with this lage door. I would recommend that you have a door that is at least 1 1/2โ thick with 3โ of solid wood on the vertically on top and bottom. Working with a hollow core door is not impossible but not for the faint of heart and requires advance planing to avoid mistakes. Definitely not for a rookie. Bottom line it is great took twice as long to do, and the allusion of this panel door just floating on the wall is stunning
