I bought this silent basketball for my 6-year-old so he can practice dribbling inside the house, and it has been a game changer. The foam build is super soft and absorbent, so there’s no loud thumping like a regular basketball—exactly what I was hoping for. It’s safe on floors, gentle on walls, and perfect for young kids who want to practice anytime without disturbing the whole house. The quality is excellent, the bounce is surprisingly good for a foam ball, and it’s helping my child build real ball-handling skills in a fun, low-noise way. Very great silent basketball. It’s very durable, Bounces like a regular basketball, fun for everyone , works exactly like a basketball. When you open the package it comes in a box wrapped with plastic and as soon as you tear the plastic the ball inflates, it may not instantly become smooth upon inflating, but on the packaging it states how you gotta wait 1-2 days for it to fully smooth out. The grip on this is decent and nearly the exact same as a regular basketball. The material does feel great and is very comfy.

The Official Silent Basketball is perfect for apartment living. It’s surprisingly super quiet, well made, and doesn’t shake the door or walls like regular hoops. My college kid uses it daily with roommates and it hasn’t caused any noise issues at all. Super great quality and ideal for small spaces and to have some fun without bothering the neighbors. Lol

This one is better made than the other one we had but it is not as quiet. Its not super loud but its my home is above the ground so I can for sure hear it when my kids use it.

We've tried several variations of "silent indoor basketballs" and this is by FAR the best. The things that separate it are: 1. Bounce trueness. It bounces off the floor in a far more consistent manner than most other similar balls. The biggest challenge in manufacturing these seems to be to make the injection molding port as minimally disruptive to the bounce as possible. Perhaps keeping a uniform density and mass throughout the ball as well. Most other similar balls are almost impossible to dribble without looking at the ball because it just bounces all over the place. This one is about 3/4 of the way toward the trueness of a real basketball vs. competing products. 2. The seams. They did an amazing job burning in a seam pattern into the ball, just like a real basketball. You can feel these with your fingertips, including the small indentations. Many/most competing products just draw seam lines onto the ball but don't have any contours like this one. 3. The color. This is colored more like a high quality leather basketball. Most competing products are either bright orange like a cheap rubber ball, or just some other artificial color like black or blue. We've had this for about 2 months and it has stood up to a basketball-obsessed 9 year hold dribbling all over the house, on hardwood, tile, and carpeted/rugged floors. It's still in nearly original condition, minus a minor scratch you can barely see and a microscopic amount of carpet fibers that cling to the ball. If you've never used these, they're all basically high density NERF-style balls with a treated surface to feel and appear close to perfectly smooth. Highly recommended.

The ball is really quiet, you can hardly hear it, and it definitely does not distract your neighbours. On the other hand - it is not as heavy as the real ball, you need to get accustomed to it. But it helps in drible learning and does its job well. The ball feels solid, and if not exposed to sharp object should serve for longer time.

The ball is certainly quiet, but it it doesn't bounce anything like an actual basketball. At best, it will get about 60% of the bounce height of an actual ball. If you're just shooting the ball, I suppose it's fine, but don't consider this if you're interested in accurate dribbling.

Honestly and I’m not trying to sound like this isn’t one of the best shooting equipment out there. It translates.you have to spread your fingers and pop your wrist to make it in. Once you get on the court the hoop will seem huge and the ball will feel small. It works to your advantage. I had a little issue at first with the installation and anchor but I did some improvising with some silicone on the screws and now it holds great. I’m only taking a star off because i bought it about a month ago and I’m on my second ball. Little pieces everywhere🤣 If you guys figure out a way to make the ball slightly more durable, this will be a must have for households with kids learning and or just improving. And adults who want to keep that jumper wet in between times at the gym. I’m telling you even with all that said, I’ll still buy another ball after this new needs to be replaced it’s that good. I’ve seen both my kids improve in shooting on both their schools team in the short time we had it.

Good quality. We had another version that was made from a softer foam and it started breaking up and leaving little bits of orange foam everywhere. This one is made from a more dense solid material that doesn’t do that. It’s double the price of other versions but worth it if you want it to last and not fall apart. My boys use it every day, it’s completely silent and it saves my Mumma sanity from basketballs bouncing inside the house!!

The ball started peeling after just one week of very light indoor use. My son only practised simple dribbling at home, no shooting, no outdoor play. Update after another week: Each bounce left small pieces of sponge scattered across the floor, to the point where we eventually had to throw the ball away. Disappointing quality for such limited use.

Not 100% silent but a noticeable difference.
