Igloo began in 1947 as a small metalworking shop with two employees. The company produced metal water coolers designed to replace wooden drinking buckets used by construction workers and oilfield workers. Evolving to insulated, all-plastic water coolers in 1965, these water coolers soon became the cooler of choice on the job site. The Igloo brand and company grew, and the first rectangular ice chest - a 22-quart metal unit with plastic liner - was produced in 1960. By 1962, the company had grown to 73 employees and in that same year offered the first all-plastic ice chest - initially sold only to beer manufacturers. Now offering over 500 different products, Igloo coolers are sold by more than 250 retailers around the world. ## Features - Cool Riser Technology improves cooling performance by elevating cooler body away from hot surfaces - Innovative THERMECOOL foam insulation provides advanced ice retention - Molded-in side handles for easy carrying, loading and unloading - Hybrid latches have a stainless steel hinge for added durability and secure lid closure - Put the size into perspective: Holds 98 cans ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0CPMCRKHT | | Best Sellers Rank | 114,715 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) 557 in Camping Coolers & Cool Bags | | Brand Name | Igloo | | Capacity | 62 quarts | | Chamber Depth | 21 Inches | | Colour | 62 QT - Carbonite | | Container Type | Bucket | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (336) | | Included Components | Casters | | Insulation Material Type | Foam | | Item Dimensions D x W x H | 53.2D x 35.2W x 53.7H centimetres | | Item Highlight | Insulated Ice Chest, Holds 98 Cans, THERMECOOL Foam Insulation, Locking Telescoping Handle, Self-Draining Cup Holders | | Item Type Name | Cooler | | Item Weight | 13.85 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Igloo | | Manufacturer Part Number | 34696 | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Name | Maxcold | | Model Number | 00035061 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Pattern | Letter Print | | Product Care Instructions | Clean the cooler with mild soap and water, let it dry completely before storage, and handle it with care to avoid damaging the cooler or its insulation. | | Recommended Uses For Product | Camping | | Shell Type | Hard | | Size | One Size | | Special Features | Insulated, Portable, Swing-Up Handle, Wheeled | | UPC | 034223349622 | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Igloo - **Capacity:** 62 quarts - **Colour:** 62 QT - Carbonite - **Included components:** Casters - **Item weight:** 13.85 Pounds - **Material:** Plastic - **Package information:** Bucket - **Product dimensions:** 53.2D x 35.2W x 53.7H centimetres - **Recommended uses for product:** Camping - **Special feature:** Insulated, Portable, Swing-Up Handle, Wheeled ## Images ![Igloo - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51V82iqMDPL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Frequently Bought Together - Igloo Coolers Maxcold Series, Insulated Portable Cooler, Hard Coolers, Leak-Proof Ice Chest, 5 Day Ice Retention - Igloo 110qt Glide Coolers --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://barbados.desertcart.com/products/627821977-igloo](https://barbados.desertcart.com/products/627821977-igloo) --- *Product available on Desertcart Barbados* *Store origin: BB* *Last updated: 2026-10-29*
