Great quality!
Great quality! Super durable and responsive. Holds tone a bit longer than your Remo Emporor so if dampening is what your looking for, you may need exactly that, some dampening. Otherwise they give a nice vintage sound when left open. I use an E-ring on my 16" tom but the 12" and snare are free to breathe. Also, I matched them with the Ec2 reso heads.

The perfect head for toms.
I’ve tried other heads on my toms, but I keep coming back to the coated G2’s. They are extremely durable. If you break one of these, something is horribly wrong with your technique. The coating lasts a long time and adds a bit of warmth to the attack vs clear heads. They have a great blend of attack, tone, and sustain, without too much of any one element, making them versatile for many styles of music and types of drums. The only scenario where they might not work as well is on smaller jazz kits with high tunings, where something like the single-ply G1 would be more desirable to achieve an open, singing tone. But for most applications, the G2 batter/G1 reso combination is a classic for a reason. Plus, the Level 360 collar makes them ridiculously easy to tune and stay that way.

Perfect for the right applications and the price point is unbeatable
I almost always start with Remo ambassadors-coated or clear and start from there as far as tuning, dampening, etc. However for the specific kit and the music for one of my current projects needed something different. It is a vintage kit, and the music needed for the Tom's to be dampened but still have tone and warmth- not sound like boxes and thuss and/ or rely on effects to give tone. These were almost 10$ less than the emperors, (especially since I got them from warehouse in "like new" condition meaning they were never installed). I had used them before but had forgotten how well they work. Tone is there, and stick rebound doesn't suffer much from the second ply/ extra thickness. The kit I put them on already (for some reason) had G2 clear on the reso side. Somehow this combination on a late 60s/ early 70s thin shell kit works well, with warm tones and very little additional overring or volume control, but still has a dynamic range.

Fantastic heads
Bought these for our church drumkit which is an older Ludwig set. I have leaned toward uncoated hydraulic heads in the past but these coated 2 ply heads have a nice mellow attack and warm resonance thats perfect for our purposes. Its great that they sell the combo pack in these common size sets; it saves quite a bit over purchasing individually. These are comparable to Remo Emperor coated heads but I find Evans quality to be a notch higher. These heads seated well and tuned right up in minutes with no issues or wonkiness.

A blind purchase that turned out to be good!
I'd never purchased Evans drumheads so I was little worried about doing a blind purchase but I actually like the sound of my toms better with these. The sound to me is a lot tighter which is what I like. The only drum head that I wasn't too happy about was the snare drum head, which isn't included in this pack. I would highly recommend these drum heads to any drummer. They sound awesome.

Favorite all around head!!
Fantastic all around drum heads. I've been using coated G2s for a few years on most of my kits. Great attack on a newer kit like my PDP. But at the same time they have a lot of roundness and warmth on a vintage kit like my Rogers. Plus they tune up really easy. I recently did a restoration on an 80s Ludwig Rocker, I threw these on and had a clear round tone with very little fine tuning, even with the 30 year old resonate heads still on the drums.

Great value and sound
These head sound great on my kit, I have them tuned mid-low, none to little damping, and they sounds really good. Their tone is classic. It has a perfect decay, a medium sustain(which i cut down by dampening the resonant heads), the pitch is easy to get in tune, and its relatively flexible, the value of these heads is great, and I would but them again.

Very good heads!
Use them in a church. Our drummer hits hard and they last quite long considering how often they are played. I also had them on a stave kit with concert toms and they sound great tuned low or high. I switched to them because our church drum set had a lot of ringing overtones with uncoated g2 heads. The coating tames them and makes the sound decay a lot quicker. Also cant beat the price!

Muy buen producto calidad precio
Suenan muy bien a comparación de los parches que tenía mi batería, era lo que necesitaba para que sonara bien. Están a muy buen precio. Hay que ver qué tanto duran.

Evans gives good head for good price
What can I say -- Evans heads are great. These ones have a nice, full sound to them, without too many overtones. I added the e-rings for a few dollars more and they tune like a dream.

Forget REMO
I had originally opted for Remo emperor drum heads but after being let down by a seller on ebay i started doing a little reading up on the merits of the 2 makes and having used Evans on my snare drum for more years than i care to remember I opted for the Evans G2 and I am so glad i did. I have always struggled with getting a balance on my tom-toms with the Pinstripe heads but as soon as i fitted the Evans G2's i found the sound I have been searching for. Up until this I had toyed with the idea of changing drums kits but i'm so glad i didn't these heads have given my tom-toms that attack with a great growl of after tone, no need for damping I just fitted tuned up and played. Kit fitted too; Pearl Export Excellent product.

Good quality drum heads
Liked the quality of these G2 Drum heads. Very punchy and less resonant sound. Got it in a sale at very decent price so the Floor Tom Head was a bit damaged. However, it was easy to install and tune. Just go for it.
